If the annealing process removes tensions from the glass after forming, a toughening line restores the tension of the glass itself. By means of the toughening process, our plant, both on belt as well as on spindle, makes it possible to increase mechanical and thermal resistance of hollow glass articles, making them safer for use and applications in our modern day lives.

Thanks to this process, the article becomes two/three times more resistant to mechanical shock than any other annealed product, fragmentation after a fall is controlled: the glass pieces will be extremely small and therefore not as dangerous. This process naturally selects the products of highest quality. Scrap tempered glass or recovered glass may in any case be recycled countless times and may be mixed at the time of composition.
